Viorel Cosor
Born in Sânnicolau Mare, Romania, in 1950, Viorel Cosor is a Romanian abstract expressionist painter known for his dynamic gestural style and exploration of existential themes.
He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Graphic Arts Department, at the West University of Timișoara. Cosor is a member of the Romanian Union of Plastic Artists and earned a Doctorate in Arts in 2005. He currently serves as a university lecturer at the Faculty of Arts, West University of Timișoara.
His work often delves into the complexities of contemporary human experience, synthesizing elements of abstract surrealism and gestural expressionism.
