My name is Dan Daniel, a freelance sculptor with a solid education, holding a degree from the School of Sculpture in Timișoara and the Faculty of Arts and Design in Timișoara. My journey in sculpture has taken me through undergraduate, master's, and even doctoral studies.
My preferred material of choice is marble, a rock revered by sculptors since ancient times and with enduring relevance today. Inspired by the words of the great BrâncuÈ™i, I believe that "direct cutting and carving are the true path to sculpture."

My artistic journey began as a young child, accompanying my father to Beius, Romania where he crafted funeral monuments. This early exposure to the sculpting world ignited a lifelong passion in him. I pursued my love for art through high school and continued my education at the Faculty of Arts in Timisoara, culminating in a doctorate in sculpture. After enriching his skills with a two-year exchange program in Spain, I returned to the quaint village of Rosia, Bihor county, Romania, my mother's hometown.

Embracing the region's pristine beauty, surrounded by magnificent forests, valleys, and trout-filled waters, I found the perfect environment to fulfill my artistic dreams. In this idyllic setting, I now bring to life sculptures that capture the essence of my lifelong aspirations, guided by the purest artistic vision that has always resonated within me.

The concept that has fascinated me for a long time and that I explore in this project is the "micro-Macro Cosmos." This theme represents a direct exploration into life and matter on a cosmic level, starting from the smallest forms of life, such as cells, and extending to planets, stars, galaxies, or even certain astronomical theories and phenomena. All of these come to life in the noble material of marble, offering a unique perspective on the connection between the micro and macrocosmos. I look forward to sharing this artistic journey with you!
